Scouting does more than teach kids about camping… it teaches kids about life

Every parent wants the best for their child, and scouting is a resource that helps make that desire come true.

More so than other youth programs, Scouting acts as an extension of your family. It follows your values, it sees to the overall care and well being of your child, and it’s always there for you. It presents an opportunity to instill responsibility and respect in your child in ways that may not be available to you at home. And if you’re looking for greater involvement in your child’s life, there are many ways to do it through scouting, such as becoming a Cub Scout leader, training boys and girls in special skills or activities, organizing outdoor family activities, conducting summer teen programs, and many other worthwhile functions.

Even if you are unable to participate due to other commitments, when you drop your sons or daughters off at one of our many functions, such as our summer programs for teens, you'll know they’re in good hands. You’ll know trained adults experienced in teen leadershipbuilding activities will be there to guide them and introduce them to a wide range of opportunities and experiences. Most importantly, you know they’ll make new friends, learn, have fun, and develop their unique character in positive ways.
