Volunteers for summer camps in NJ, recreational activities for children, and other summer programs for teens are always needed.

Volunteering for Boy Scouts is fun and rewarding!

Thousands of volunteers across the country dedicate their time in the Boy Scouting program. Here in New Jersey our volunteers organize outdoor activities for all ages of scouts and act as counselors at summer camps in NJ. They are unit leaders, chairmen of troop committees, committee members, merit badge counselors, and chartered organization representatives.

Scout volunteers also serve as board members for the council, district volunteers providing leadership skills for teens, and scout mentors. They provide us with the strong foundation upon which fund-raising, outreach programs, and kids outdoor activities are built. The volunteers within the Jersey Shore Council serve as role models of commitment, involvement, and accomplishment for our boys and girls, and give countless hours of service year after year to ensure that our youth have access to all the programs that scouting has to offer.

If you can find some time to dedicate to our NJ Boy Scouts at the District level, serving on District Committees, serving as a Unit Commissioner, or one of many other needs, please contact us…we can use your help!
