Boy Scouts to Honor Nina Anuario for Service to Community, Youth
(TOMSRIVER, NJ – Feb. 26, 2008) Organizing Committee Chair Massimo Yezzi and the Jersey Shore Council, Boy Scouts of America are proud to announce that Nina Anuario will be honored at the 29th Annual Adolph E. Woolley “Good Scout Award” Reception on March 13.
Nina’s record public service to the OceanCounty community is long-standing. She is Senior Vice President of Business Development for OceanFirst Bank and has been an active member of the Toms River-Ocean Chamber of Commerce since 1976. She served as Chamber Chairman in 1995 – 1996 and was appointed to the Ocean County Vocational-Technical School Board in 1995, where she has served as president for several years. She has also served as Chairman of the Ocean County Workforce Investment Board.
Nina has long supported the youth programs of the Jersey Shore Council Boy Scouts of America and the Girl Scouts of the JerseyShore. She has also had a long-time commitment to the Ocean County Banker’s Association, Friends of Navy Lakehurst, Ocean County College Foundation, and Ocean Medical Center Foundation.
Adolph E. Woolley was the Scoutmaster of the first Boy Scout Troop in TomsRiver, Troop 1, sponsored by the Presbyterian Church of Toms River. The church has conducted continuous Scouting programs since the 1920’s. Mr. Woolley was very active in the TomsRiver community and well known for his passion for Boy Scouting. He lived following the precepts of the Boy Scout Oath and Law and always believed in doing a good turn daily.
